WELCOME
I’ve been meaning to set this up for quite some time but never got round to it. I don’t know what the hell will go on here, mostly stuff I like from other blogs and music off myspace and videos from youtube. Basically my brain written in 12pt Courier. Hopefully you’ll find something you like on here and if you do, comment on it. The posts that are on here already are ones I...

MAGIC WANDS
Just wow. I love the feeling of first hearing a band and instantly falling in love with their sound. The Magic Wands are one such band delivering an orgasm of audio joy to your ears. “Sound of summer” is so easily overused by the mass-media but when you hear something so mercurial and honest you can’t help but find justice in those words. Hailing from the States, the duo...

ROSIE AND THE GOLDBUG
All to often bands are played up by the media, all too often these bands crash into obsurity as these journalists ditch their fancies for new bands destined to fail. Rosie and the Goldbug, however, are a band on the rise and are poking their head up above the parapet of the garbage heap of bands that didn’t have the talent or bollocks to fight. When a band can blend operatic vocals with...

ADAM HAYNES
A master of complexity and detail juxtaposed with simplicity, Adam Haynes has a wonderfully fresh take on illustration. His careful choice of colours envoke nostalgia for 90s computer games and a time before grungey effects were deemed “cool”. TWEENBOTS
Tweenbots is a project dreamt up by Kacie Kinzer, a New Yorker with an interest in human interaction. Her goal was to send a little hapless cardboard robot through the streets and parks of busy New York with directions on its final destination. It was up to the strangers of the Big Apple to intervene and guide the little blighter. It is truly remarkable that through all of the missions these bots...

THE CARDBOARD OFFICE
The Nothing office in Amsterdam is created entirely from cardboard and for a time where sustainability is key, it is a real eye-opener for what can be achieved. The graffiti visible is from illustrator Fiodor Sumkin who, as a visitor to the office, was encouraged to add his part to the design. You can check out the office and their other work here. SEBASTIAN BRAJKOVIC
Dutch designer Sebastian Brajkovic set about not to produce a pastiche of archetypal furniture styles but to reset a person’s perception on classical styles. His latest work entitled “Lathe” sees several of history’s most iconic domestic items take on a contemporary manipulation. Thought provoking and mouth watering, Brajkovic’s work brings about a reconsideration...
